Alright,

Unlike a lot of sites, I want the cost and administration to be pretty up front here.

I just ordered sizebooru a server, it's $100 even per month, its a Core 2 duo based system with a fair bit of ram, and enough bandwidth to keep things happy.

Right now we really over utilize our current system, we're averaging over 30 accesses/sec, about 60-120+ queries/sec, 5-8mbit bandwidth, 500+gb/mo, but the current rate is more like 700-800gb.

Sizebooru now costs $1200 a year to run minus backup space fee's.

Again, nobody makes money at this, not looking to turn a profit here, in fact, we can't, we don't want to.

Without donations and other sources of support, sizebooru will not continue to exist a few months down the road, but we don't want you just throwing money at us willy nilly either.

Please consider the cost of the site, in finances and in personal time when you make use of it.

Most of the shiny new stuff is up and working, the old board should be working soon I hope, the forums are open, and things are a little more settled.

As you might have noticed, Sizebooru.com has changed, after an incompetent service provider failed to correctly take backups of the server, about 2-3 months of postings were lost. The website also now has a new owner and management.

The old board will be put up in a read only mode so as to preserve the previous content and not lose more than was already lost, but at the same time, we will be putting up a fresh board starting from zero and adding features to the site such as a forum, oekaki, and other community building aspects.

We will be tossing things together as quick as we can to bring the site back up, so please excuse the looks and the functionality for now while we work on things as quickly as we can.

If you can, please consider making a donation, sizebooru's yearly hosting costs are near the 4 digit range, nobody makes money on it, but it certainly costs.

I first off want to THANK those that are and have donated, your gracious financial backing is what is and will keep this site alive, a link to the new board will be up VERY soon, the new forums are also almost ready. Please keep in mind that when you visit these new sections, they are not very polished, we need your feedback on what is broken, also the performance will not be too fantastic until the new system we're working on getting is provisioned, doesn't help that the SQL process on the current server is working slower than expected.

Working on getting the OLD copy of the OLD imageboard working, its ironic, but everything on it is working except the whole showing the pictures part. It will be up in a ready only fashion as soon as I get it working, sorry!
